Milk, Honey & Tomatoes (documentary)

The 14 year old Zidan quits school to work as a tomato picker in the Israeli settlements earning money for his family. Of his limited income Zidan tries to save up to start a shop with his best friend Rachman one day. When Rachman decides to go back to school because his elder brother has found work again, their friendship is tested and he will have to reconsider his plans for the future. In this coming of age documentary Zidan learns the struggle of life in an occupied country. He realizes that the rich and fertile 'land of milk and honey' will never be within his reach. His plans for the shop seem to be his only way out for an independent future.
